MarineFisheries is enacting, by emergency regulation, new recreational regulations for fluke , black sea bass, scup and tautog for the 2018 fishing season, and will hold a public hearing on the new rules in June. For fluke, the season is May 23–Oct. 9 with a five-fish daily limit per person and 17-inch minimum size.

A United States Postal Service worker who prosecutors say hoarded away more than 17,000 pieces of undelivered mail in New York City allegedly told investigators he was overwhelmed by the amount of mail he had to deliver.
